The exhibition includes a mixture of printed posters, original sketches and a series of prints of various processing algorithms. Silk scarves, flags, ceramics and a film were also produced for the show along with a limited edition boxed collection of prints. April 29th - June 2nd 2011

Artist statement from the exhibition catalogue:

On a vast scale modern digital cryptography aims to maintain ownership over digital material that has no intrinsic physical value. Aspects of our digital life such as serial numbers, DRM, proprietary video and audio encoding formats and embedded digital watermarks all aim to maintain the rights of ownership. These works utilize imagery freely taken from the internet, ignoring rights of ownership in an attempt to communicate how encryption and the breaking of encryption directs and dictates the evolution of creative expression today.

The traditional Venn diagram is a way of denoting abstracted sets of data and communicating relationships between them in order to simplify and clarify the communication of information. By replacing the abstractions with figurative visualizations while maintaining the method and logic of the diagram the clarity of the communication is totally lost and they instead become codes to be broken.
